Check In Officers can initiate campaigns and mark people as safe/confirmed from within the Check In feature in the Names & Faces app. Here's how to add or remove Check In Officers from your directory.
This article relates to our add-on Check In product, which is only available in the Names & Faces mobile app.
Before you can add someone as a Check In officer, you'll need to make sure they are a user in your directory - some organisations might have a separate directory for Check In, in which case you will need to give your officer(s) access to that directory in User Management like this.
Once you are confident that you soon-to-be officers have access to your Check In directory, you can follow the steps below to give them Check In Officer access:
- Open Adminland
- Click Check In
- Tap the settings icon on the top right corner
- Select Manage Check In Officers
- Tap the circle to the left of the name of the person you'd like to make an officer - once tapped, you'll see a tick next to their name
- To remove an officer, click the tick to the left of the name which will then become a blank circle
- Click Save
As well as keeping your officers up-to-date, we recommend running a Check In test every 3 months to ensure your whole team, including new joiners are familiar with what to do during a potential disruption or crisis.
